Walnut Creek Watershed is located in Franklin County, in Central
Ohio. The Watershed encompasses 93,055.6 acres and 145.4 square
miles of drainage area. The acres of land draining into Big Walnut
Creek are known as its Watershed and begin in south central Morrow
County, continue south across eastern Delaware County and are
collected in Hoover Reservoir. The Lower Big Walnut Creek Watershed
begins with the outflow from Hoover Reservoir and ends where Big
Walnut Creek empties into the Scioto River at the southern edge of
Franklin County near U.S. Route 23. Lower Big Walnut Creek is
approximately 37.6 miles in length and flows through both rural and
urbanized landscapes.
